Loads have happened...like this new journal format! Holy moley! It's cool.
I know it's been since February since I updated. My lack of cartoons have been from lack of time. Working on finals, AP Tests, studying for the ACT, taking the ACT, family reunions...it's been insane. There's no way I could have crammed cartooning into my schedule, especially with a style so time consuming as my own.
That's my excuse. I hope to get art up by the end of the summer, but I'm going to be gone on a LONG trip in July: I'm going East, like to NYC and Washington DC, Ohio, Missouri...it's going to be a 23 day long road trip. I'm totally psyched.
Anyway, I'm super busy. Life is happening very quickly, and cartooning can't be a part of my life right now, unfortunately! I really hope this is temporary: I love all my dA buddies. (But I'm on Facebook. Note me if you want my profile.)
Right now, I'm looking into colleges. Get this, right? A school had been sending me all this junk, and I was like "Pfft", whatever. I got this brochure, and decided to research it. The school is Washington University. I thought, "I don't want to live in Washington". But get this: it's
not in Washington. It's actually in St. Louis, MO. I researched it: it's the sixth most selective college in the United States, with the 3rd best Medical program in the country. It's just awesome, here, check it out:
[link]My ultimate goal is to get accepted to Harvard. Probably won't go, even if I get accepted. I just want to say that I could have gone if I'd wished. My grades are relatively good (top 10% of my school), but definitely not enough to go to Harvard on. I'm a senior, so it's a bit late to worry about grades. [I was going though emotional problems that were messing with my life, and ergo grades] But here's the thing: my test scores are ridiculously good. I'm trying to sound confident and not vain, so sorry if I sound a little egotistical. Like, the ACT: on my practice tests, I was ranging in the 27s to 31s (which is between the top 8 to top 1% of people in the nation). And the practice tests were twice as hard as the REAL ACT. I'm totally psyched.
Anyway, that's why I haven't been cartooning.
